Siemens Healthcare has approved the Penlon Prima 451 MRI Anaesthetic Machine for use with their 7 Tesla MRI Systems
Siemens Healthcare has confirmed that the Prima 451 MRI Anaesthetic Machine is compatible with their 7 Tesla MRI Systems. This confirmation means clinicians can be confident that using the Prima 451 MRI up to the 1000 gauss line* will not impair the functionality of the MAGNETOM Terra or MAGNETOM Terra.X 7 Tesla MRI systems from Siemens Healthcare. This approval is in addition to those the Prima 451 MRI has already received for 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla MRI systems from Siemens Healthcare, Philips Medical Systems and GE Healthcare.
This approval covers the UKCA, CE-marked and FDA-approved Penlon Prima 451 MRI Anaesthetic Machine, AV-S MRI Ventilator, Sigma Delta MRI Vaporizer, SC760 MRI Suction Controller and AGSS MRI Receiver.
Testing took place at the Siemens Healthcare facility in Erlangen, Germany, and found that the MRI Systems performed as intended without limitations of functionality or applications of the MRI systems, options and accessories when used with the Prima 451 MRI anaesthetic machine.
