Penlon has launched a new and improved range of laryngoscope blades and handle designed for use in the magnetic resonance (MR) environment. The Penlon MRI Green System Laryngoscope Range provides clinicians with the ability to safely intubate patients in a static magnetic field up to 1000 gauss/cm. Penlon MRI Green System Laryngoscope Range are tested and certified to be MR-conditional in 1.5 and 3 Tesla MRI scanners up to the 1000 gauss line. The new range of laryngoscopes includes Macintosh, Miller and new Robertshaw and Seward blade patterns. In addition to this, Penlon McCoy Laryngoscope blades are now available as an MR-conditional blade for the first time. The range includes a standard size handle with an LED light bulb and MR-conditional alkaline batteries.
