Penlon Ltd has 60 years of experience in the development and
manufacture of anaesthesia and other medical products and
has distribution and service networks worldwide. Anaesthesia

Laryngoscopes, and Accessories.
Penlon
was founded as Longworth Scientific Instrument Co. Ltd, in
1943, in Oxford, by personnel from the Department of Anaesthetics
at Oxford University. One of its first products was the Macintosh
Laryngoscope, then a revolutionary design invented by the
late Sir Robert Macintosh, Professor of Anaesthetics. Expansion
into export markets prompted a move to larger premises at
Abingdon, and the name of the company was eventually changed
to Penlon Ltd. |

1975 the company was acquired by InterMed, the healthcare subsidiary
of Thomas Tilling plc. In October 1996 Penlon regained its status
as an independent company, having been part of BTR plc since

based company who manufacture a complete range of Suction and
Oxygen Therapy equipment, a versatile Medical Rail System, and
an extensive range of Medical Gas Pipeline equipment. |
